Winter Concert, The Old Church, December 2023

We had a wonderful Winter Concert last week, to a full house at the beautiful Old Church.
Great musicianship again by our Jo, Kev and Gwenan, with a lovely variety of songs. Highlights included Ukrainian folksong Plyve Kacha, with some wonderful improvising on the saxophone by Jo, and Wayfaring Stranger, featuring solos by choir members Beth and Kieron. The audience joined us for a goosebump-making rendition of Judith Weir’s Guardian Angel, and a particularly rousing Fairytale of New York in celebration of Shane McGowan.
The choir brought along snacks to share with the audience who stayed to socialise after the concert.
